Handling and disposal of pulper ropes and pulper tails is dangerous, labor intensive, energy consuming and costly (final disposal fees). In addition, internal/external mill transportation is difficult. The new integrated Meri Rope and Tail Shredding & Separation System enables continuous and discontinuous cutting of all sizes of ropes. Utilizing a new fuzzy controlled rope shredder, it is specially designed for subsequent multiple metal separation and post shredding stages. As a result, you get two easy-to-handle fractions: pure metal (ready for recycling) and small shredded plastic reject residuals (a valuable resource for incineration).
